Hello everyone! My name is Luna, and in this blog, you’ll find a number of poems and lyrics by me.
Hi everyone, my name is Luna!
The first thing I’d like to say is that I am a proud Filipino. I love the land of my birth. My idols and heroes are Jose Rizal, Cornelia Funke, Neil Gaiman, Anne Frank, Andres Bonifacio, and my sister, parents, friends, and family.
I am 13 years old, turning 14 next year, and I like writing. My love of books emerged when I was around 4, and it developed into an unbreakable bond with them. Very soon, I did not only want to read, but to make some things for other people to read too. My “writing-madness” began in April 2020, when I was grounded and bored. I started to write a love story (it had a tragic end). Later on, I began to observe lines in poetry and in songs, until I wanted to make these too. I decided to share my thoughts and stories to the world of the Internet. At first, I had wanted a Wattpad account, but my parents suggested a blog instead. Then, poems, rhymes, and lyrics just came to me one day, when I was rummaging in my drawers. I found the draft of the song I contructed, complete with chords for the guitar (yes, I play.) Ever since then, I have been updating and posting all of my best ideas from the whole week.
I grew up (and still am) with music and art. I like playing the guitar, ukelele, recorder, and piano. I also hope to learn the violin. I make watercolor paintings, pen sketches, pencil sketches, pastel sketches, etc.
As of now, we are stuck in the middle of the pandemic, and I am hoping that all of you there are fine.
Here Are Some of My Favorite Quotes:
This is how you do it: you sit down at the keyboard and you put one word after another until it’s done. It’s that easy, and that hard.Neil Gaiman
Lift up your radiant brow,
This day, Youth of my native strand!
Your abounding talents show
Resplendently and grand,
Fair hope of my Motherland!
